Cathryne Trachok
Cathryne Trachok has been an artist for the past 35 years. She is known for her floral landscapes and dramatic botanicals, as well as equestrian works. Trachok also has won attention for her elegant graphite drawings. After graduating from the University of Nevada with a BFA, she also attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. She has worked in commercial art, illustrated children’s books, and has created public artworks. She is currently working as a fine artist, augmenting her studio time by attending workshops with some of the most prestigious artists in contemporary art today including David Leffel and Sherrie McGraw. Her work has been featured in shows and galleries throughout the Southwestern United States. In the past few years she has been accepted into many national juried competitions, including Oil Painters of America National and Western Regional Shows, Women Artists of the West annual juried exhibitions, California Art Club Gold Medal Exhibition, American Women Artists, and Art Renewal Center International. In 2015 she won Best of Show in the AWA National Juried Exhibition in Scottsdale, AZ. She is a Signature Member of the AWA, as well as a Board Member. Trachok is also a member of Oil Painters of America, International Guild of Realism, Art Renewal Center, Women Artists of the West, and California Art Club. She lives in Napa, CA with her family.
